Peahens

We made a new addition to ABAR in April of 2024 when the Santa Clara County Animal Control contacted us about a domestic rehoming of a peahen. Just like we do for all of our new animals, we created a special area just for her, to help her adjust to her new environment. But, Princess Peanut had something else in mind. She prefers to roam and sleep with the ducks! While she may be a little shy with humans, she definitely knows what she wants. Every day her personality shines a little brighter! She loves free-roaming at ABAR, making her daily pit stop to say hi to Jett the rabbit, and of course, keeping a close watch as the self-appointed lifeguard for the ducks.
